EWI Chapter Celebrates 20th Anniversary - chattanoogan.com

The Chattanooga Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) has celebrated its 20th anniversary. Festivities took place at the Walden Club, a member firm.


Award certificates were given to the chartering firms. From left, Eva Dillard, President of United Way of Greater Chattanooga; Joey James, representative for Chattanooga Head Start; Catherine Cox, representative for Lyndhurst Foundation; Priscilla Williams, representative for Erlanger Health Systems; Tony Killen, Cold Drink Manager for Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Keith Holt, Treasurer and Controller for Chattanooga Bakery.
A video presentation highlighting the chartering board of 1987 and current member firms and representatives was played during the opening reception and dinner.

Following dinner, Nancy Harrison, president of the chapter, and representative of the Law Offices of Lloyd Stanley, presented award certificates to the chartering firms: Eva Dillard, President of United Way of Greater Chattanooga; Joey James, representative for Chattanooga Head Start; Catherine Cox, representative for Lyndhurst Foundation; Priscilla Williams, representative for Erlanger Health Systems; Tony Killen, Cold Drink Manager for Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Keith Holt, Treasurer and Controller for Chattanooga Bakery. Not in attendance was AT&T SouthEast.


Past chapter presidents were recognized. Chartering representatives were presented with award certificates: Nancy Templeton, chartering president; Catherine Cox; Sandy Wright; Priscilla Williams; Carolyn Stringer; Geneva Smith; and Fredia Higdon.

Bruce Plante, Editorial Cartoonist for The Chattanooga Times Free Press, presented a program featuring his cartoons from years past. He then drew caricatures of the chartering representatives.

EWI was established in 1938 and the Chattanooga Chapter Chartered in 1987 as an association of businesswomen dedicated to personal and professional growth. Chapter members come together for networking, recognition, exchange of information and ideas, leadership and service opportunities. The Chattanooga Chapter has nearly 50 member firms.
