President's Report

As we welcome the month of March, I am filled with gratitude for the momentum our Chapter continues to build. Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes renewed energy, new opportunities, and an exciting season of connection and impact for EWI.

Over the past several weeks, our members and representatives have shown tremendous dedication—whether through committee work, community service, or strengthening relationships within our membership. Your commitment to EWI’s values of Connections, Careers, and Community is visible in every meeting, every project, and every act of support you offer one another.

March is a time of growth, and our Chapter is no exception. We are currently preparing for several key initiatives on the horizon, and I am grateful for each of you who has stepped forward to contribute your talents. Your ideas and enthusiasm help drive our work forward, and I encourage you to stay engaged, speak up, and continue shaping the direction of our chapter.

This month is also a wonderful opportunity to welcome new members and reconnect with those we may not see as often. I encourage all of us to reach out, strengthen professional relationships, and ensure that every representative feels valued and included. EWI thrives when we invest in one another.

As always, thank you for the dedication and positivity you bring to our Chapter. Your leadership—whether on the board, in a committee, within your firm, or in the quiet support of another member—makes a meaningful difference. Let’s step into March with purpose, collaboration, and excitement for what’s ahead.

Wishing you a productive, inspiring, and connected month of March!

Warmly,

Monthly Meeting

March 10, 2026  |  5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
DoubleTree by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown
407 Chestnut Street, Chattanooga, TN, 37402

We’re excited to invite you to a special meeting on March 10 at the DoubleTree Downtown, featuring a guest speaker from our local community.

Laura Robinson, Youth Market and Garden Program Manager at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, will be joining us to share insight into an issue that directly impacts our region.

During her presentation, Laura will discuss:

  • Food insecurity in the Chattanooga area
  • Two ways the food bank is addressing these needs through local food access initiatives
  • How you can get involved by donating your time or resources

This will be an informative and inspiring conversation that highlights how small actions can make a big difference right here at home.

Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly, and feel free to bring a guest who may be interested in learning more about this important work. We’d love to have a great turnout and an engaging discussion.

We look forward to seeing you there!

ASIST

Executive Women International-Chattanooga (EWI-Chattanooga) is giving scholarships again this year to deserving adults in support of the Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) corporate program.

The scholarships are given to adult students who, through life experiences, find themselves needing to make a life-transition.  Whether it is due to health, social, economic or personal issues, a change is needed to improve their life.  One which further education can be of benefit.

ASIST scholarships are made available to adults facing economic social or physical challenges who are looking to improve their situation through educational opportunities.  EWI-Chattanooga will partner with Chattanooga State Community College, Southern Adventist, and University of Tennessee Chattanooga to identify potential candidates.

The application period opened on January 9 and runs through 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on March 31.   EWI-Chattanooga will be giving a scholarship of $1,500 to the top candidate and $500 to the second and third place winners.

EWI-Chattanooga winners are then submitted to EWI-Corporate level for another opportunity to be selected or an additional scholarship ranging from $2,000 to $10,000.  This scholarship program is a powerful way EWI supports students pursuing higher education.

The scholarships are not primarily based on the academic level of candidates, but on the need for pursing higher education to better themselves, their family and the community in which they live.

ASIST application is available at:   https://apply.mykaleidoscope.com/program/Asist2026

If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please contact Penny D Walker at [email protected].

REMEMBER – the deadline for submission is March 31, at 11:59 p.m. (Central).

Member Spotlight 2

Lyndhurst did some decluttering to bless the Teacher Supply Hub and wants to challenge other member firms to think about what they have sitting around collecting dust and longing to be used in a classroom or library.

Here is Krissa and Landon with Hamilton County Schools Foundation collecting a lot of binders, folders, files, book holders, filing cabinet, and lots of other office supplies that teachers would give anything to have but can’t afford to use.  We even sent them our Christmas decorations.
